Perth NRM worked with the Hills Orchard Improvement group to host the Perth Hills Water Forum on 17 April 2017 to discuss water allocations and benchmarking water management practices.

The recent summer storms in Perth resulted in areas of localised erosion along our coast.  In the City of Rockingham, damage to a dune from an excessive stormwater flow highlighted the impact that high intensity storms can have on our coastline.

While summer brings holidays and lazy days at the beach the influx of beach users also see increased litter levels along our beaches and in adjacent car parks.

The only known colony of the Pyramid Mulla-mulla (Ptilotus pyramidatus) is being surveyed as part of efforts to better understand and conserve the Critically Endangered species.
