We’ll be launching a new round of grants for Stage Three of the Swan Canning River Recovery program and highlighting some of the important initiatives in this long-term project to improve our river/estuarine systems.

Listen and learn about the environmental, cultural and social aspects of Dyarlgaard – the Canning River – and how the rivers are used and managed.

Wendy Corrick (Friends of Bull Creek Catchment) will share the group’s important work to deliver riparian restoration in the Middle Canning and what they have learnt along the way.

Hear the latest research on threatened ecological communities from Rose Weerasinghe (SERCUL) as she discusses how this information will be used in local restoration efforts.

David Ong and Giles Pickard, from the City of Canning, will explore new ways of getting involved in community projects with a presentation on the Wharf Street Basin Project, a water-sensitive initiative being delivered by local government.
