Call for Nominations: Independent Chair of the Nominations Committee

Perth NRM invites nominations from suitably qualified people for the position of Independent Chair of the Nominations Committee.

Perth NRM is a highly regarded for-purpose organisation in the natural environment management (natural resource management – NRM) sector. We collaborate with governments (federal, state and local), community, academics and the corporate sector to deliver solutions to environmental issues. Our purpose is to empower people to positive ecological impact. We do this through coordination and support of agriculture, coastal and landcare programs.

Perth NRM invites nominations for the position of Independent Chair of the Nominations Committee, a Constituted Standing Committee of Perth NRM. The Nominations Committee ensures that the leadership of Perth NRM is adequately skilled and performing appropriately. The Independent Chairperson plays an active role in:

  • Recruitment of new Board Directors
  • Performance review of the Board of Management
  • Performance review of the Chief Executive Officer
  • Recruitment of new Chief Executive Officer

Essential Selection Criteria

We are looking for applicants who:

  • reside in the greater Perth area (or not more than 200 km from the CBD);
  • are able to work in Australia with no restrictions;
  • not be convicted of any corporate offences or be disqualified from being a Director; and
  • not have a material conflict of interest with the business of Perth NRM.

Desirable Selection Criteria

Preference will be given to applicants who:

  • have a connection to the environment and Landcare and are aligned to our purpose;
  • have experience in Board and/or executive recruitment processes;
  • have experience in managing not-for-profit Board governance practices; and
  • are graduates of the AICD or the Governance Institute (or equivalent).
