WA Food Security Project Update

17th March, 2023

Planning for a Food Secure Future in Western Australia

We are pleased to announce that summary information from the Interim Report on the WA Food Security Project (2019-23) is now published.

The purpose of publishing the summary is to allow Stakeholders in the WA Food Supply chain who have not yet had the opportunity to provide feedback on the constraints they are facing, to do so.

The information has been prepared and presented in the form of a Webinar by Project Manager Graham McAlpine and lead Researcher Dr Peter Batt.

The Webinar utilises chapters so those interested can view the segments relevant to them and to provide additional feedback before we finalise the report in late April.

The plan is to then work with supply chain sectors / regions that would like to consolidate their findings in sub reports, to represent their sectors seeking change.

The project will conclude at the end of June 2023.

We are seeking feedback for inclusion by late March / mid-April to E: [email protected]

This project is supported by Perth NRM, through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
