Congratulations to the 2022 SALP Grant Recipients!
The Swan Alcoa Landcare Program (SALP) is a joint initiative of Alcoa, the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) and Perth NRM, established to provide a simple process for community groups to access funding for on-ground environmental works.
Since its inception in 1998, SALP has provided more than $9.8 million in funding to community groups, who in turn have delivered 1,569 restoration projects, engaging thousands of volunteers and contributing over 233,000 work hours. This includes weeding on over 7,000 hectares, planting more than 2.9 million plants to revegetate over 3,000 hectares, feral animal control, and the creation of wildlife habitat.
