THIS EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED. WE WILL HOST ANOTHER ONE SOON.

Perth NRM invites you to our new premises at the Bentley Tech Park for a very special presentation from Simon Cherriman, author of ‘Hollowed Out’ and a principal at The Re-Cyc-Ology Project.

The Re-Cyc-Ology Project focusses on delivering 2 key outcomes:
  1. Construction and installation of long-lasting, bee-resistant nest-boxes that cater for a wide range of hollow-dependent wildlife;
  2. Facilitation of workshops to educate others on how to do the above, fostering custodianship for wildlife on both private and public land.

We are thrilled to host Simon for this event which will feature:

  • a 30 minute presentation on cockatoo habitat and novel habitats – followed by question time
  • a presentation from Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre, featuring a very special guest!
  • A nest box building demo, and a discussion about installation and monitoring.

The event is FREE, but you may wish to purchase a copy of Simon’s book and get it signed while you’re here.

Also, numbers are extremely limited, so booking are absolutely essential.

After the event, Perth NRM will donate the nest box to the fundraising efforts for the Black Cockatoo Crisis documentary. (see trailer below).

This event is presented by Back From The Brink Stage 2, supported by Perth NRM through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
