Making the most of your land – a practical field day on soil improvement, dealing with weeds and creating sustainable grazing systems

Join Perth NRM and the Shire of Mundaring for this free informative field day in Parkerville with like-minded landholders to dig into local soils, weed management, as well as grazing systems that work.

Belinda Taylor from Hoof Hearted Hoof Care will present on the day and answer your questions about your property. Belinda is an agricultural scientist specialising in pasture management and creating sustainable grazing systems for small properties.

Topics:

  • Grazing systems for different animals, soil types and conditions (including drought and waterlogged soils)
  • Why, how and when to test your soil and what it can tell you
  • Weed control without using chemicals
  • Improving soil health by understanding the soil microbiome

Please note this event will run in two sessions:

  • Session A: 8:30am – 11:30am
  • Session B: 1:00pm – 4:00pm

Please register for one session only.
