ReWild for Rivers

ReWild for Rivers is part of the Swan Canning River Recovery, delivered by Perth NRM through funding from the Australian Government.

Rivers are an important part of our lives and ecosystems. Here in Perth, we are all connected to and supported by the beautiful Swan (Derbarl Yerrigan) and Canning (Djarlgarro Beeliar) Rivers. One way that we can support these ecosystems, including all the wildlife that call the rivers home, is to rewild. Rewilding is all about restoring natural ecosystems, protecting biodiversity, and providing habitat for wildlife.

Who we are

The ReWild for Rivers school program provides opportunities for students to experience, learn about and conserve their local rivers and riparian environments. Students engage in a variety of hands-on experiences in the classroom or outdoors, learning scientific principles and discovering how they can help make real-world change.

What we offer

Our free in-class and excursion activities are curriculum aligned and facilitated by experienced environmental educators. This school program currently operates across the Town of Victoria Park and Cities of South Perth, Belmont, Canning, Kalamunda, Perth and Swan.
