Two thousand nine hundred more plants along our coast

Perth NRM staff recently enjoyed assisting local community group Stirling Natural Environment Coastcare with their 2018 planting efforts at both Brighton Beach (secondary dunes) and South Trigg Beach (primary dunes) in Perth's northern suburbs.

Coastal forum

Perth NRM was a proud supporter of the recently held Coastal Forum along with Northern Agriculture Catchment Council (NACC) and Curtin University which was held on April 7th at the Bold Park Ecology Centre.

Work for the Dole protecting our dunes

The recent summer storms in Perth resulted in areas of localised erosion along our coast.  In the City of Rockingham, damage to a dune from an excessive stormwater flow highlighted the impact that high intensity storms can have on our coastline.

Coogee Maritime Trail

The Coogee Maritime Trail, developed by the City of Cockburn in partnership with the Western Australian Museum, Murdoch University Divers and Perth NRM was opened earlier in 2017.
