Since 2018, Perth NRM has been delivering 'Living Landscapes: Improving the condition of Threatened Ecological Communities' in the Swan NRM region and working to improve the resilience of these important ecological areas.

We are always conscious that the work we do in land and natural resource management has a direct impact on the wildlife that rely on these habitats to survive.

Owners of small agricultural properties play an important role in managing our peri-urban landscapes, which are the areas where land-use transitions from rural environments to urban or regional centres.

Last year we started work on the ‘Community-led stewardship in Perth’s northern coastal corridor’ project, with lots of amazing progress made already.

Perth NRM’s environment team supports action that improves the integrity of the Swan and Canning River systems.

A wetland is land that is covered or saturated with water, for part of the year or permanently. Some wetlands are linked to the groundwater with their depth rising or falling to reflect the aquifer levels.

Perth NRM is pleased to announce it has been granted $353,557 through State NRM’s Community Stewardship Grant Program for a project to assist in the postfire recovery around Wooroloo Brook.
