This year on Friday 7 June 2019 the Town of Cottesloe, Keep Australia Beautiful Council WA (KABC), Coastal Cleanup Crew, North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club and Perth NRM and are holding a clean-up event at Cottesloe Beach from 9.30 – 10.30am to celebrate World Oceans Day.
Come along and join us to enjoy and care for this wonderful stretch of Western Australian coastline as we recognise the take 3 for the sea initiative, recent smoking ban along the Cottesloe foreshore and of course, World Oceans Day.
Please meet at 9.15 am at the clubrooms of the North Cottesloe Surf Life Saving Club.
Litter bags and buckets, tongs and gloves will be provided to all participants. Insurance cover is also available on the day for registrants. KABC will be conducting a litter audit of what we collect on the day and submittting our data to the Australian Marine Debris Database.
Join us after the clean-up in the clubrooms for some some morning tea, a coffee and a chat about the ocean.
