Mitchell East of Willarra Gold, Manjimup. Willarra Gold is a third-generation business consisting of Mitchell, his sister, and parents. It has a long history of many different vegetable lines over the years, which include onions, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce and pumpkins. In recent years, they have been diversifying into avocados, passionfruit and processing, while still growing some broccoli and running sheep over their two properties.

Mitchell joins us for our first RegenWA webinar in 2021 to explore some of the biologically-focused techniques he is implementing on his property in Manjimup, including cover crops, worm juice, and will provide an insight into the practical ways he implements holistic grazing efficiently using electric fencing and a motorbike

This RegenWA webinar is looking to improve knowledge of RegenWA members and Western Australian farmers, and provide an opportunity to head directly out to the paddock to implement the tools and practical ideas suggested in the webinar.

RegenWA believes in regenerating our regional landscapes and communities.

We focus on supporting farmers who are investigating alternative production practices with the aim of minimising or reversing the impact of productivity constraints like climate change and soil acidity.

With the nature of COVID restrictions still interrupting field days we have turned to providing another webinar during these uncertain times which provides an opportunity to hear from other like-minded farmers and practitioners about how and why we can transition to more regenerative farming practices.

Our previous webinars in 2020 are available on the RegenWA website for viewing.
