Congratulations to the 2025 SALP Grant Recipients!
The Swan Alcoa Landcare Program (SALP) is a joint initiative of Alcoa of Australia, the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), and the Burswood Park Board, delivered by Perth NRM, established to provide a simple process for community groups to access funding for on-ground environmental works.
Since its inception in 1998, SALP has provided more than $10.7 million in funding to community groups, who in turn have delivered more than 1,730 restoration projects, engaging thousands of volunteers and contributing over 255,000 work hours. This includes weeding on over 8,075 hectares, planting more than 3.1 million plants to revegetate over 3,200 hectares, feral animal control, and the creation of wildlife habitat.
On Tuesday 3 December, 2024, the SALP program announced the recipients of the 2025 round of funding, providing over $280,000 to 26 community groups across the Perth region, for projects improving bushland and waterways.
