Sims Metal is sponsoring coastal activities near its Kwinana facility, working with Perth NRM Coastal + Marine and the Adopt-A-Beach program, and by helping educate schools on eliminating metal waste by correctly recycling things like aluminium cans and common household items.

Sims Metal sponsored an Adopt A Beach engagement on Tuesday 28 July, 2021, providing a conservation and educational experience for Year 10 Bush Ranger cadets from Emmanuel Catholic College.
Members of the Sims Metal team at the Kwinana facility joined the students to plant another 200 coastal plants at Wells Park (off Kwinana Beach Road), aiding the ongoing revegetation and dune stabilisation efforts.
