KAYA nidja Noongar Boodja  – Hello! Welcome to Noongar Country

Look out over the landscape and you will under-stand why Perry Lakes holds a significant place in Perth’s cultural history.

The lakes of the Perth region are believed to have been formed by the Waugal in the dreamtime. The ancient body of laws, customs, and obligations guide Noongars in how to preserve ecological balance, while paying due respect to the ancestors, land, and spirits.
