The session is ideal for local community groups or not for profits, who are interested in learning how to implement and grow a successful social media platform for marketing their organisation.

The workshop will cover the three pillars of successful social media, the who, where and what you build content around, and how these can be used to increase reach in the local community, achieve measurable results and attract volunteers and funds.

Giving attendees a solid grounding in social media fundamentals and exciting them about the possibility of using social media, including solid data showing why it is vital to the future of community groups. The workshop will tackle the pros and cons of different social media platforms, encourage attendees to identify their target audiences on the platform, and give a simple model to communicate with them effectively.

The session is ideal for local community groups or not for profits, who are interested in learning how to implement and grow a successful social media platform for marketing their organisation. The session is targeted at entry and beginner levels, so no technical skills are required. The session will be interactive and will include workshopping time for practical implementation, and question time.
