Recent advances enable researchers to collect data on nature and people more effectively, and then analyse and integrate it into decision making processes for on-ground management, preparing plans, policy and strategy. Speakers from a range of disciplines will present on the use of technology to conserve and manage nature in the Swan Region. Learn about the various ways that digital technology facilitates access to  information, enhances visual representation of threats or impacts and how it can empower decision making. Examples of how digital applications can be used to engage environmental volunteers and collect data at their sites will also be explored.

Government staff, community leaders and environmental groups conserving and managing the Swan Region’s natural values are encouraged to learn about new technology and ways to use the data more effectively.
